rithiur.com is a website, which I run as hobby of mine. It's a showcase for all my work and also place to distribute whatever I've worked on. This website does not have any particular aim, except to be as good website for me to work with and also provide some entertainment while I'm at it.
To get a better feeling of what is available at the rithiur.com portal, simply browser the various sections of the website and you'll see. All my numerous different projects are hosted here or at least accessible from here.
I'm just a random programmer from Finland. I've been writing web pages and programming with PHP since 2001, so I've gained quite a bit of experience in what I do. Even to this day, creating websites and web applications is something I very much enjoy, which is, of course, mainly the reason I still bother.
I do not like to go deeply into who I am, since I do not feel it is particularly relevant for the purpose of this website. I'm not particularly paranoid, but I simply find it more fun to when all the information about me is not available on the internet. If you're interested in investigating me, you could always just do a Google search on my online name, Rithiur, since I do not believe anyone else has ever used this nick, other than me.
In case you are wondering, Rithiur is simply the name I use online. It's the name I attribute my online projects to and the name I use when contactig people. It has no relation to my real name, but online it is who I am. Though it may not be particularly hard to find my real name, I still ask to be addressed as Rithiur online.
While the website, rithiur.com did not come to existance until mid 2009 or so, many websites of mine have preceeded it with similar ideology of distributing my work. Thus, in a way this website can be considered quite old.
The very first incarnation of my personal website came online in summer 2001. The website was called SimpleVP, and it was centered around tables I created for Visual Pinball (a pinball machine emulator). That didn't last very long, though, and it was quickly replaced in autumn of the same year by my next site, Vikaworks, which was created for my Game Maker creations.
Next summer, 2002, that site was replaced by IdeaWork Productions, which was supposed to be more generic site for all my creations, and not just for Game Maker or any other particular tool. That website lasted considerably long, but was ultimately replaced in spring 2004 by Rithiur Scripts, which had the purpose of forcing myself to focus on much higher quality output.
Rithiur Scripts lasted through many redesigns until late 2007, when I wanted to focus more on my PHP stuff, as that had become my area of expertise. Thus I launched the website again as phpInDev, which was supposed to inspire me to produce more PHP related projects. Even though I had many plans for the website, it mostly fell apart due to my lack of time as I started my university studies.
As I finally purchased my own domain for the site in early 2009, I wanted to create a new site, one that I had always wanted to create over the years. I've planned for this website to last as long as intend to use name Rithiur online, which is hopefully a very long time.
